Nick Choat knows the digital marketing challenges small business owners face. As a franchise owner, he has seen firsthand that embracing and addressing these challenges can help a small business flourish. He also recognizes that many small business owners are overwhelmed by the changing marketing landscape and don’t even know where to begin.
Nick worked for industry giants and helped move them into the digital age. He now he applies those strategies to help his own businesses and is committed to helping other small business owners realize that they too can apply simple digital marketing strategies to help their businesses succeed and grow.
Nick Choat Bio
Nick Choat has over three decades of professional experience, starting as a software developer and evolving to become a digital strategist. He has held executive positions with highly respected brands, such as The Walt Disney Company, Ernst & Young, Boeing, and VeriSign. He is currently the CEO and owner of Sport Clips Haircuts franchises, leading the expansion of the franchise throughout southwest Florida.
Nick’s unique insights as a small business owner, coupled with deep experience as a digital corporate executive, are revealed in his first book, Online or Flatline: The Small Business Owner’s Guide to Digital Marketing. Nick has a no-nonsense style of translating technical complexities into a language meaningful for business owners.
The inspiration that drove Nick to author “Online or Flatline” also inspired him to create consulting and public speaking practices focused on serving the digital needs of the business community.
From his early days as a child growing up in his family’s rural grocery store in East Tennessee, Nick learned the important role that a small business owner needs to play in the local community. Nick now serves on the Advisory Boards for the University of South Florida and Manatee Technical College. He is also Chairman of the Education and Workforce Committee at the Manatee Chamber of Commerce. Nick Choat is regularly asked to guest lecture at the University of South Florida and State College of Florida on business topics ranging from digital marketing to program management.
Nick Choat attended the University of Tennessee and received a B.S. degree in Marketing and a M.S. degree in Computer Science.
